Shaun Lamm

Shaun Lamm is a Resident in Counseling who earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Richmond and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of San Diego. Shaun has developed a specialty in treating individuals with substance use disorders, which she has practiced at residential and partial hospitalization levels of care. In addition to her specialty in addiction, Shaun has provided services to a wide range of individuals with co-occurring disorders including anxiety, depression, bipolar, post-traumatic stress, personality, and schizophrenia.

Shaun enjoys working with individuals who are motivated to make the changes necessary in their lives to achieve their goals. She believes therapy is a powerful experience where individuals are held accountable, challenged, develop healthy relationships, and increase their functioning in everyday life. Shaun practices counseling from an Existential theoretical perspective and believes identifying sources of meaning and purpose are critical to healing. In addition to Existentialism, Shaun utilizes CBT and DBT skills to help patients cope with daily stressors. Shaun believes therapy should be an enjoyable experience and is not afraid to sprinkle humor into sessions.

Beyond therapy, Shaun loves spending time at the beach surfing and swimming, and can often be found running in local races.
