Jessica Oszman is a Resident in Counseling and a National Certified Counselor who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music and Psychology from The University of Missouri-Kansas City and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Old Dominion University. She has provided counseling services at Chesapeake Regional Healthcare in inpatient, emergency, and outpatient settings and was previously trained in Music Therapy. Jessica’s clinical focuses include anxiety, depression, disordered eating, postpartum concerns, intimate partner violence, suicidality, career/academic concerns, and coping with life transitions. 

Jessica thrives at helping individuals integrate and improve their mental, emotional, and physical wellness. She believes that the connection of the body and mind is essential to healing and addressing concerns, and thus utilizes CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based approaches. Jessica also aims to empower each individual she works with through the use of a trauma-informed, strength-based and culturally sensitive counseling style.

There are many reasons to pursue therapy, and Jessica recognizes the strength it takes to reach out. Jessica believes in working together to identify personal goals and fosters an authentic and supportive therapeutic environment needed to achieve them.
