Aris Stavrianos is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who earned his
undergraduate degree from North Greenville University and his MA in Clinical
Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. He is trained in EMDR (Eye
Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), as well as marital therapy (Level 3
Gottman training). Aris utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),
Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Motivational Interviewing.
Aris has recently moved to Virginia Beach from Lynchburg, VA where he worked
as Site Administrator for Hyland Heights Counseling Services. He runs
marital workshops and has worked with various clients including couples and
individuals suffering from an array of diagnoses (PTSD, anxiety, depression,
substance abuse, OCD, bi-polar, phobias). Aris loves building working
relationships with clients, as he believes the foundation of growth
begins with rapport between client and therapist.
Aris is originally from the island of Cyprus in the Mediterranean. He enjoys time with his wife, 3-year-old daughter, newborn son, and Great Dane. Aris’ leisure activities include soccer, kayaking, walking, and grilling out.
