Jennifer Morgan is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Illinois State University and her Master's degree in Counseling from Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 1998. She began her mental health counseling career working in the Employee Assistance sector addressing career development, human resources, and employment related concerns. She has also worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings working with a wide range of mental health disorders including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorders, anxiety, addictions, and personality disorders.
Ms. Morgan enjoys working with adolescents, adults and couples with specialized focus on childhood sexual trauma/complex trauma, relationship difficulties including infidelity using an attachment theory based approach, divorce recovery, self-esteem, parenting, self-injurious behaviors, school problems, autism spectrum disorders, and adolescent defiance and social struggles.
Ms. Morgan views therapy and healing, as a collaborative journey coming from inner wisdom, personal strengths, and courage. She utilizes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, guided imagery and dialectical behavioral therapy techniques as she works with you to develop new insights, strategies, and skills to reach your goals and create a more fulfilling life. She is highly passionate about the collaborative work she does with clients and is dedicated in providing the most recent evidence based interventions and care.
